Corentin Michel

Corentin MICHEL

Senior Scientific Computing Engineer (Python) · Technical Lead

Lyon · France

Scientific computing engineer (Python) in nuclear simulation at EDF, I built my expertise on highly constrained systems: scientific computing, neutronics simulation (ODYSSÉE chain, EMC2-E scheme) and software quality suited to nuclear-safety stakes.

Since 2025 my role has grown into technical leadership: cross-team coordination, client/supplier interface, running the 2027-2030 development contract. Without leaving the technical side: I use it to frame decisions and anticipate friction before it blocks.

What draws me in: problems that resist, dependencies between teams to untangle, situations where nobody has the full picture yet. The same logic as in ultra-endurance: hold on over time, analyse, never lose the thread.

Technical understanding sharp enough to be credible with the teams, enough distance to coordinate without drowning in execution.
